AAA Action Title (Pre-reveal)
Project Overview
As Head of Design Craft at Flying Wild Hog, I led design team growth and craft standards for an unannounced AAA action title through pre-production and vertical slice. The engagement covered team structure, design architecture, and production methodology — not only creative direction.
What I Can Share
- Team scaled 3× in 18 months without loss of design velocity or production coherence. Hiring, onboarding, and craft standards were designed as a system, not handled reactively.
- Design architecture established through vertical slice. The loop hierarchy, encounter design framework, and systemic design language were locked and validated before the team scaled into full production.
- Design craft programme. Built the internal design review cadence, critique methodology, and documentation standards that let a growing team work autonomously without constant director intervention.
Confidentiality
Under NDA
The project title, genre, platform targets, and specific design decisions are covered by a non-disclosure agreement with Flying Wild Hog. Full case study details — including design documentation, system architecture diagrams, and outcome metrics — are available under NDA for qualified studio engagements.
Next Step
If you're evaluating this engagement for a similar role — scaling a design team through pre-production or vertical slice — I'm happy to walk through the methodology in detail under NDA.
